Man arrested after firing gun in Charlotte comedy club, police say

Around 9 p.m. on Saturday,

the alleged shooter showed up at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte,

according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

The establishment was swiftly evacuated when "he brandished a pistol inside," according to the department.

"The suspect then let his gun go. The suspect was arrested, and there were no injuries."

Craig Robinson, a comedian and actor who was supposed to perform at the club on Saturday,

wrote on Instagram that he was in the green room when the order to leave the building was given.

There was an active shooter inside the comedy club where I'm performing,
