On July 15, there was a recall of more than 10,000 pounds of pepperoni pizza goods.
According to a statement released by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS),
the items were disseminated without any government inspection. The packages are misbranded
in addition to not being inspected. Allergens such as milk, wheat, and soybeans are present in the pizzas.
To those with sensitivities to these goods, FSIS claims that some of the products lack ingredient labels, while others have incorrect labels.
The 14-ounce packets of Pizza Cubana's Cuban Style Pepperoni Pizza are especially affected by the recall.
Between January 12 and July 13, 2022, the product was made. They were exclusively given out to Florida-based retailers.
The issue was found by FSIS during standard inspection procedures, as stated in the recall notice.
Fortunately, as of the announcement, there have been no reports of negative responses.
