Invigorating Gemstone Legendary Gem Diablo 3

In Diablo III, the Invigorating Gemstone is a Legendary Gem. It only drops from Greater Rift Guardians and may be socketed into Amulets and Rings.

With each successful strike they land, this gem enhances the healing they get from all sources. It stacks up to ten times and each stack refreshes the duration. The healing benefit rises with advancement.

At level 25, the character becomes impervious to all kinds of crowd control.

This is one of the few gems that only provides defensive benefits rather than offensive ones, along with Mutilation Guard, Molten Wildebeest’s Gizzard, Moratorium, and Esoteric Alteration.

Gem Properties

Invigorating Gemstone

• Each hit done increases healing by 1.00% for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 10 times..
• Upgrade rank grants: +0.02%. Maximum +3% at rank 100.

• Rank 25 unlocks:
  • You are immune to control impairing effects
• The damage reduction also works on the initial CC effect e.g. it will reduce the damage taken from the Jail effect.
• This gem regards the following as Control-Impairing Effects:
  • Jailed
  • Frozen
  • Feared
  • Stunned
  • Blinded
• Vortex and Knockback are not considered Control-Impairing.
• If you are immune to CC (such as by using Ice Climbers), then the gem will have no effect.

Invigorating Gemstone Mechanics

Each successful hit done by the player increases healing by 1% multiplicatively for 5 seconds. This effect can be stacked up to 10 times and each new stack refreshes the duration of all stacks. You can level this Gem all the way up to rank 150. Every upgrade will increase the heal effect by 0.02% up to a total of 4%.

The secondary rank 25 effect grants you immunity to all control-impairing effects and is comparable to effects from skills like Ignore Pain or Inner Temple of Protection. Most enemies will interrupt your channels (such as Town Portal) even with this Gem equipped.

Invigorating Gemstone Best Use

Mostly for supports: Not used a lot. Has some implications due to the rank 25 immunity effect for Support or Solo Push, especially in combination with the Stone Gauntlets.

Legendary Gem Creation:

If you need extra Legendary Gems to level up, you can make the Rift Guardian in any Greater Rift drop a new Rank 0 Gem by removing all the Legendary Gems with the same name from your Equipment, Inventory and Stash.

The safest way to do that is to put them into the Inventory of different character.
