Authorities said that a man with a rifle opened fire inside a mall in Indiana on Sunday,

killing three people and injuring two more before being shot by an armed bystander.

According to Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison, the guy entered the Greenwood Park Mall

brandishing a weapon and numerous magazines of ammo before opening fire in the food court.

A 22-year-old guy from Bartholomew County, Indiana, was the mall customer who shot

the man with the weapon, according to Ison.

The person who was legitimately carrying a pistol in that food court and was able

to stop the gunman nearly right away is the actual hero of the day, he said.

A 12-year-old girl who had just a slight injury was one of the injured.
