Although the game is over a decade old now, it still has a relatively strong fanbase behind it. For many, it’s a release they simply can’t put down, while others are assessing some solid alternatives out there right now. Thankfully, for World of Warcraft fans, there are some notable releases that have clearly been inspired by Blizzard Entertainment’s immaculate concept. From being able to dive into an intense battle to having the opportunity to explore a unique environment, let’s take a look at five great alternatives to World of Warcraft.

1. Rift

Although Rift isn’t perfect, it features an array of elements that will most definitely appeal to World of Warcraft lovers. There are two factions at war with each other, there is a strong emphasis on character building and collecting resources, and the battling aspect makes the game a mightily fun and entertaining title to session. You’ll certainly need to be on the ball with Rift, though, due to the fact that attacks can occur at pretty much any time. It’s a fun one, though, that’s for sure.

2. Blade And Soul

A great game in its own right, Blade And Soul is a free-to-play MMORPG title that has risen to popularity in Korea in particular. While the visuals on offer are eye-catching and provide a pleasurable gaming experience, the game’s battle aspect is just as good, as both playable factions, known as Cerulean Order and Crimson Legion, do battle against each other to create a truly epic product. Players have quests to complete, vast open-world expanses to explore, and a whole lot more to enjoy, too.

3. Path of Exile

Chances are, you’ve probably heard of Path of Exile. Unbelievably, though, not everyone has played the game in 2022. Released in 2013, it hogged the limelight when it came to the fore and has since gone on to back up the early hype surrounding it. Set in a dark fantasy world filled with other players and monster-infested caves, there are a number of missions you can embark on in this detailed release. For some, the risk of going solo is the aim of the game, while others might join forces with other players in an attempt to reign supreme. Path of Exile is a game with many layers to it, making it a product well worth your time.

4. Kingdoms Rise

A series of games that offer a fantasy theme just like World of Warcraft, more and more people are playing Kingdoms Rise slots. In terms of online casino games, Playtech’s brand-new fantasy-themed slot suite hosts a selection of titles that are well worth your time. From Captain’s Treasure and Kingdoms Rise: Forbidden Forest to Kingdoms Rise: Guardians of the Abyss and Kingdoms Rise: Legend of Elvenstone, these fantasy-themed slot games are well worth sampling for an hour or so. You can even experience them on your smartphone, too.

5. Dragon Age: Inquisition

If you’ve ever fancied taking down hordes of demons, then Dragon Age: Inquisition is a game you might want to try. With the world facing a demon invasion, it’s your job to fight back and defend the people. You can improve your team of fighters by adding to it, there are alliances to forge, weapons to find, abilities to unlock, and the world’s population to defend. You can even play in online co-op mode also.
