Swords in Assassin’s Creed Mirage (AC Mirage) are weapons that have perks that you can use to your advantage during combat. Read on for a list of all swords, their perks, as well as how to get them.

List of all swords

These are all of the swords that you can find in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Initiate of Alamut Sword

Location: Basim’s default sword, given to him near the start of the game.

Perk: Sharpened Blade – After a successful Parry, next Attack deals +50% damage

Usefulness: This is a huge damage increase following a parry, but the perk obviously has no use when you’re fighting against enemies who only use unlockable attacks — and they’re often the most troublesome foes in the game. Still, a good perk for tearing through lesser opponents.

Zanj Uprising Sword

Location: Metal Factory in Shari’, Harbiyah — you’ll need to break the door’s lock by hitting it with a throwing knife from the open window, located around the other side of the building. Or, you can fight your way through the guards and their training ground to gain direct access.

Perk: Strike Back – After a perfect Dodge, next Attack deals +50% damage

Usefulness: This perk provides a significant damage increase, but based on our testing, it’s unclear what actually constitutes as a ‘perfect dodge’. Sometimes the damage boost is immediately noticeable after dodging an incoming blow. Other times, it doesn’t seem to trigger at all. A shame, since this would easily be one of the most effective perks in the game if it wasn’t so inconsistent. It’s still pretty great, though, as dodges are your most reliable form of defence.

Abbasid Knight Sword

Location: Scriptorium, in Yasiriyah, Abbasiyah — in the main building, enter through an open door on the top floor, and watch out for the guards.

Perk: On the Edge – When Basim’s Health is lower than 50%, Light Attacks deal +30% damage

Usefulness: A meaty damage increase that’s easy to activate — although the trigger situation isn’t ideal. Basim doesn’t have much health to work with even on the normal difficulty setting, and so being below 50% is asking for trouble. That said, this perk can help you get out of tight spots, letting your rip through lesser enemies a lot faster.

Hidden One Sword

Location: Abandoned Caravanserai in Wilderness West — in the main building of the area, behind a barred door. You can break it open by climbing into the open window above, and then hitting the lock through the wooden beams on the floor with a throwing knife. Go back outside and enter through the now open door to find the chest.

Perk: Venomous – Every fifth hit Poisons the enemy

Usefulness: Poison is an excellent way to rack up additional damage in this game, but five hits can be a tall order in more chaotic fights. Still, this perk can make taking down heavily armoured foes a breeze as long as you maintain your flurry of attacks.

Rostam Sword

Location: A reward for completing the contract ‘The Weapons Dealer’.

Perk: Chain Reaction – Every consecutive Attack deals +5% damage, up to a maximum of +50%

Usefulness: The damage bonus racks up quite quickly against tougher foes, but it doesn’t make a huge difference in terms of the time it takes to empty a single enemy’s health bar. Most of the time, you’ll be looking at a very slight improvement, although as far as we can tell, the bonus does carry between enemies. A consistent damage increase is possible, but you’ll need to keep up the offensive.

Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar

Location: Inside the chamber from ‘The Calling’ quest, which is accessed by diving into the northern oasis and following the tunnel. You’ll need to be in possession of three shards to unlock the weapon. These shards can be taken from the bodies of specific NPCs.

Perk: Blood Price – Maximum Health is lowered by 50%, but damage is increased by 50%

Usefulness: Basim is already fragile to begin with, so having to fight with 50% less health at all times is challenging. It is a hefty damage increase, though, and if you’re skilled at the game, it’s a trade that you may be willing to make. One for advanced players only, then.
