Fix 1: Wait for Sometime

There is a potential that the KiK app is undergoing maintenance. Check your email for any notifications sent by the KiK team.

Wait until the new message issue is fixed if the KiK app needs an upgrade or maintenance.

Fix 2: Check Internet Speed

Make sure you have a reliable internet connection or fast internet. You can have problems with the KiK App if your mobile data connection speed to your wifi network is sluggish.

So, verify the speed of your internet. Check your router if you’re using wifi or turn on and off your mobile data.

Fix 3: Update KiK App with Latest Version

Keep your KiK app updated with the newest version. The older versions may have issues.

Your KiK app might not function correctly if it is out of date.

Additionally, upgrading to the most recent version of the Kik app will address all previously discovered bugs by the Kik support team.

Fix 4: Check Permission of KiK App

Make sure you have provided required permission to KiK app. If you will not provide required permission to KiK app, KiK app will not work smoothly.

for this in android , go to setting >> click on app >> click on KiK App >> provide the required permission.

Fix 5: Restart the App

If above solution not work then try to restart the KiK app. you just close the app and open again . Sometime it fixes the issue.

Fix 6: Login & Logout from KiK App

Another fix is try to logout from the KiK app and then login again into the app. This will take to back normal to App and may fixe the issue.

Fix 7: Clear Kik App Cache

Most of time , when there is some issue with app, clearing the app cache resolve the issue.

To clear the KiK App cache,

For android users, Go to settings >> Go to application manager >> Tap on Kik App >> Tap on clear cache. KiK App cache will be cleared.

For iPhone users, Go to iPhone settings >> Find KiK App and click on that >> tap on Offload App button >> again reinstall the app.

Above Solution may fix your issue.

Fix 8: Restart Your Phone

If the afore mentioned remedy is unable to fix your problem, it’s probable that your phone is having a problem.

So just turn your phone back on. Open the KiK app after restarting the phone to see if you are receiving the new message.

Fix 9: Contact KiK Support Team

f above all solution not worked with you. Still not reaching new messages then you should contact KiK Team.

I tried to contact KiK team, got below reply:

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out, and we are sorry you are experiencing this problem.

We have identified that the issue you are experiencing is associated with new chat requests (users you haven't chatted with before). However, you should still receive chat messages from groups and users on your contact list. There is no workaround, and we suggest you do not reinstall or sign out of the Kik app, as this will remove the messages in the backend. In addition, please note that you are still receiving notifications of new chat requests.

Nevertheless, our Development Team is investigating the problem associated with new chat requests, and we have also removed the New Chats tab while we work to fix this problem. We do not have a timeframe for when the issue will be resolved.
