Gem of Ease Legendary Gem Diablo 3

In Diablo III, the Gem of Ease is a Legendary Gem. It only drops from Greater Rift Guardians and may be socketed into weapons. When Season Two came to a close, though, this gem began to disappear for regular characters as well.

This gem adds a set amount to the experience obtained through killing. The experience benefit rises with upgrading.

At rank 25, it also lowers the item’s socketed item’s character level requirement to 1.

The experience benefit, which is set and increased by difficulty, comes in handy while facing swarms of weaker foes. Gem of Ease considerably speeds up levelling at high ranks, particularly at lower levels (for comparison, level 1 monster grants 40 experience; level 55 grants 8700; level 60 grants 18700).

As an alternative, while the gem is destroyed in the process, a rank 25 gem or above may be used in the Kanai’s Cube recipe to lower the level requirement of any item (not just weapons) to 1. The only two ways to utilise level 70 things on low-level alts are these two.

This stone twinkles with low level light, inviting its bearer to dream of higher ambitions.

Gem of Ease Mechanics

This is the only legendary Legendary Gem that is socketed into the Weapon slot! Every monster that is killed grants 500 additional experience points. You can level this Gem all the way up to rank 150. Every upgrade will increase the experience points gained by 50 up to a maximum of 8,000 total points per monster. This effect scales with Torment difficulty but not with Greater Rift levels.

Gem of Ease Best Use

For leveling only: This Gem is super useful to level a new character with its rank 25 effect or boost a friend since the experience bonus is shared in the party. This Gem is also a part of Work of Cathan Kanai’s Cube recipe to further allow low level characters equip high level items.

For Paragon leveling however this bonus experience is irrelevant as it does not scale with the Greater Rift experience multiplier.

Legendary Gem Creation:

If you need extra Legendary Gems to level up, you can make the Rift Guardian in any Greater Rift drop a new Rank 0 Gem by removing all the Legendary Gems with the same name from your Equipment, Inventory and Stash.

The safest way to do that is to put them into the Inventory of different character.
