Mess Around and Explore Achievement:- The game Return to Monkey Island is an adventure point-and-click game that recently came out. It is a sequel to Tales of Monkey Island. You are again going to play as Guybrush Threepwood as you revisit iconic locations found in the series.

In one of the quests, you need to find a coin to buy Scurvydogs and we are going to show you where it is located.

How to Complete Mess Around and Explore Achievement In Return To Monkey Island

At the beginning of Return to Monkey Island, you are shown 2 kids that are playing and pretending to be LeChuck and Guybrush Threepwood.

Dee, Chuckie’s friend, will approach you. She’ll take your ToDo List and add some things to it. If you open it, you’ll find multiple objectives have now appeared on it. The umbrella one is to “Mess Around and Explore,” with a list of optional objectives you can complete in this area.

These are all the optional things you can do in this area now:

Check out the anchor

As you enter the next area, you’ll see a giant Anchor at the bottom of the screen. Go here and speak to Dee about the Anchor. This is also where you’ll learn how to skip dialogue by pressing “.” and to return to dialogue you might have missed by pressing the “,” button.

Beat Chuckie in a race

Go to the right of the Anchor and to the race track. Challenge Chuckie to a race, then wait for Dee to countdown and say “go”. When she does, the option to interact with the environment will appear again. Double-click the end of the race track, and you’ll zoom past Chuckie.

Feed the duck

Continue to the right and you’ll see the couple from earlier. You can ask them to have some of the bread by the woman’s feet, to feed the duck, but they’ll say no. You can try and take some bread, but you’ll be stopped. Go over to the basket by the man and wonder what’s in there. Chuckie will start rummaging through, giving you enough time to swipe the bread. You can then use this to feed the duck.

Add some sauce to my Scurvydog

While feeding the duck, you might notice there’s a red splat on the floor, to the right. Interact with it and Chuckie will tell you it’s ketchup. Pick it up and add it to your Scurvydog by going into your inventory and combining the Scurvydog with the red glob.

Practice swordfighting

The boat to the north of the duck pond is where you can practice sword fighting. If you try to fight with Dee, she won’t accept your challenge. Interact with the boat instead and you can battle against Chuckie.

Find a four-leaf clover

Go to the right of the red splat and read the sign by the grass. Hover over the grass, and there’ll be an option to search for a four-leaf clover. Right in the middle, you can find one.

Make a wish at the wishing well

Go to the right of the grass now and find a wishing well. Pick up the coin that’s to the left of the well, then throw it down it and make a wish. Whatever you pick here will happen.
