Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – How Switch Skill Swap Works
Last Updated on July 6, 2022 by Sam
Switch Skill Swap is a brand-new, intriguing gaming feature that debuts in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. It enables you to modify your Switch Skills at any time, not just before a mission begins. This may be highly helpful in fighting since it allows you to respond to various circumstances with the best Switch Skill. See how we can do it.
What is Switch Skills
Before employing the new Swap feature, Monster Hunter newcomers may wish to familiarise themselves with the definition of a Switch Skill. Each weapon has its own own set of abilities, and they are all exceptional and strong. You’ll be able to test out different Switch Skill sets as you go through the game. They are quite helpful since you may use them to significantly harm creatures.
How to Unlock Switch Skill Swap
You must first go to Elgado Outpost in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in order to get Switch Skill Swap. Once there, interact with the characters until Master Arlow is instructed to be contacted. You must now finish Master Utsushi’s introduction task when he materialises.
You will learn the fundamentals of the new Switch Skill Swap system during this task. A Red Swap Scroll and a Blue Swap Scroll are now available to players. Different Switch Skills may be given to each scroll. You may switch between these two scrolls while engaged in battle or while hunting by holding Left Trigger and pressing Y+B simultaneously (these are the Xbox buttons). You must press Right Bumper and Y+B if you are using a gunner weapon.
You may store several loadouts for each weapon even if you only have two scrolls to choose from. As you go through Sunbreak and learn some of the new Switch Skills, creating new loadouts will become more important.
How the Ability to Switch Skill Works
In Monster Hunter Rise, you could choose the Switch Skill you wanted to employ just before beginning a task. You could not alter it while in battle. With the help of the Switch Skill Swap feature from the Sunbreak DLC, you can achieve that. This mechanism has different key combinations depending on whether the weapon is drawn or sheathed. However, you may also use the Action Bar to do this task.
For a list of PC keys, see the screenshot below. A helpful lesson with the whole key list is available if you go to the Hunter Info menu, pick Game Controls, and then select Switch Skill Swap.
The Red Switch Skill Swap Scroll and the Blue Switch Skill Swap Scroll both record Switch Skills loadouts. There is no restriction on changing them or switching between the two. You may use the Switch Skill Swap whenever necessary since it doesn’t require any Stamina or Wirebug.
When the quest begins, your default Switch Skill will be the one shown beneath the Red Scroll. Any Item Box, including the one inside the tent at the beginning of each quest, allows you to alter the registered Switch Skills.
How to Operate the Skill Swap Switch
This new concept may take some time to fully grasp, but once you do, it will be quite helpful in battle. You are not need to stick with a single Switch Skill during the whole of the quest; instead, you may modify your playstyle to suit the monster you are pursuing.
Each weapon in your arsenal has a different Switch Skill. To figure out which strategies and combinations are most effective for you, you must practise a lot and take down plenty of monsters. Even in the Training Area, we advise spending a few hours practising since the monsters in the Sunbreak DLC are more difficult than the ones you faced in the main game.
The Swap Evade Mechanic: How to Use
When you switch skills successfully, you may run away from the monster and reposition yourself such that you are safe from it. It also offers you time to finally carry out another Switch Skill Swap as you get ready for your subsequent strike. Simply hitting Space on a PC or B on a Nintendo Switch will switch to Evade.
