Where To Get Tera Shards In Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet
Farming Tera Type Wild Pokemon
When you are adventuring through the world of the game, you will frequently come across Pokemon that are glowing a color similar to gold. This is the Tera Type form that Pokemon take when they are caught in the wild. You will receive the crystal of the Tera Type associated with the Tera Type that the Pokemon transformed into if you are successful in either defeating or capturing one of these Pokemon. After you have “broken” their Tera Shield by bringing their health down to a low enough level, you will then be able to capture them.
Farming Tera Raids
The landscape is littered with enormous crystals that emit beams of light that reach far into the heavens. You can also find them on the map that you have. Before you finish the game, you can only participate in 3 Star Raids; however, after you have completed the primary storyline and triumphed in the Academy tournament, you will be able to participate in 4 Star and 5 Star raids, which award a significantly greater number of Tera Shards.
NPC Gifts & Rewards
If you complete certain tasks within the game world, a number of non-player characters (NPCs) will reward you with a collection of shards. The list of what we have discovered thus far can be found down below. If a non-player character (NPC) mentions reaching a Close Bond, it means that you can improve your relationship with your teachers by completing all of the classroom quests, finishing your midterms, and finishing your finals. Then you talk to the instructor multiple times to advance your friendship with them by one level each time.
When you reach a Close Bond with Hassel, you will be rewarded with fifty Dragon Tera Shards.
By developing a Close Bond with Ms. Tyme, you will be able to get an additional fifty Rock Tera Shards.
After a conversation with the NPC who changes tera types, you will receive 50 normal tera shards.
Farming Area Zero
Tera Shards are glittering artifacts that can be found on the ground in Area Zero and can be collected. Although this is not a quick approach, there is a lot to be found down here. If you’re down there trying to capture Pokemon, you should make it a point to pick up as many of the shiny things on the floor as you can because the vast majority of them are Tera Shards.
Uses of Tera Shards
Tera Shards are required in order to alter the Tera Type of a Pokemon to another type. For instance, if you wish to alter a Pokemon’s Tera Type from Normal to something else, you will have to pay the Tera Type Changing NPC fifty Normal Tera Shards in order to do so.
